Sassuolo director general Giovanni Carnevali says Eusebio Di Francesco will only leave for “an important club”.

The Neroverdi Coach has been linked with both Fiorentina and Inter, and is widely expected to move on in the summer.

“Di Francesco is a great Coach,” Carnevali told Gr Parlamento.

“If he chooses to change it won’t be because of motivation, and he’d only do it for a certain kind of club.

“With an offer from a medium-sized club I think he would stay with us, because he knows [President Giorgio] Squinzi wants to build this club to a certain level.

“There’s an excellent relationship with him, he’s probably waiting for a response from an important club, then he’ll make a decision.”

Domenico Berardi has also been linked with a move away, but Squinzi has set his price tag at €50m.

“He’s our President, he decides. If he says something then we have to stick with what he says.

“Could all three of us go to Inter? It’s easier for the first two, I’m tied to Squinzi and there has been no offer. It would be nice if we all continued with Sassuolo.”

One player who will be leaving the Neroverdi is Lorenzo Pellegrini, as Rome have a buyback option.

Roma will exercise their buyback clause,” Carnevali confirmed.

“They had already asked for him in January, but it’s not our custom to let our most important lads leave mid-season.

“Francesco Acerbi? If a big club asks for him, then we’ll sit down with him and make the best decision but we want to keep him and make him a symbol of Sassuolo.”
