“It’ll be a dangerous game, as Bologna are solid and held out against Inter for most of the game. When you play against teams fighting to avoid relegation, you need to match their determination,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

Javier Pastore missed the midweek Champions League defeat to Real Madrid, although Nicolò Zaniolo was a surprise pick in midfield.

“Pastore is available, although I have to decide whether he actually plays. Kluivert will start tomorrow. I left him in the stands in Madrid because the places are limited, so this is a sign we need everyone.

“Robin Olsen is eager to work hard and I think he’s doing very well, considering this is a whole new league for him. I hope his performance in Madrid can boost his confidence.

“It’s clear to say that we are like a shadow of the side we saw in the closing months of last season, but we have time to get back on track. We must rediscover that fire within us and I know that I have it.

“I am truly determined, and seeing as I am the leader of this side, I have to drag the fire out of them too. We’ve got to prove tomorrow that we are there. It’s what the fans want and it’s only right they expect it of us. We can’t lag behind in determination.

“I expect more from everybody. Last season there was a great unity and we’re missing that so far. In football you have to work together and I demand more from every player.

“We showed last season that my idea of football took us to great results. I am convinced the lads still believe in what we are doing. They need support during difficult moments and that is what we require now.”

Ante Coric is out injured, but Rick Karsdorp has been left out due to a coaching decision.

Roma squad for Bologna: Olsen, Fuzato, Mirante; Luca Pellegrini, Juan Jesus, Kolarov, Marcano, Santon, Fazio, Florenzi, Manolas; Cristante, Lorenzo Pellegrini, De Rossi, Zaniolo, Pastore, Nzonzi; Perotti, Dzeko, Schick, Under, Kluivert, El Shaarawy
