“The team proved it could approach this game in the right way, which was complicated in terms of mentality. They deserved a few more goals, while the dubious penalty could’ve changed the game. Alisson must’ve been fired up after conceding five in Liverpool,” the Coach told Mediaset Premium.
That 5-2 first leg defeat leaves their Champions League hopes hanging by a thread, but Roma have been here before.
“Now we have to recover our physical and mental energy, leave the field on Wednesday knowing we’ve done all we possibly could. We’ve proved in the past that we can achieve great results in the Champions League, so we must all believe, that is my slogan.”
