Eder says Inter “still believe” in the Scudetto, and insists they “did well” in the draw with Verona.

The Nerazzurri drew 3-3 at the weekend, falling 12 points behind League leaders Napoli in the process.

“The goals came from three incidents in a match where Inter did well,” Eder told Mediaset.

“We’re always there in the table, we’re staying positive and looking forward. There’s an important game on Sunday, and there are many points at stake between now and the end of the season.

“It’s normal that you judge a match by the result, but Inter created more and did much more than Verona.

“We’ll work on dead balls, because as the Coach [Roberto Mancini] said you can’t afford to concede three in that way.

“We have a lot of points, we’re training well so the result will come.

Juventus and Napoli for the Scudetto? They’ve pulled away and the gap is now a lot of points, but while they went through difficult periods at the start of the season and Inter were flying, now it’s happening to us.

“Who knows, it could happen to them again. When there are so many points still available we always believe.”

Eder joined the Beneamata from Sampdoria this January, but could have joined Claudio Ranieri’s Leicester City.

“I thank Ranieri. It’s true, we talked. I’m glad of his words, but it wouldn’t have been easy to adapt to England, and when I heard about Inter’s interest I accepted immediately, knowing their size and history.

“I wish good luck to Ranieri, because he’s a great person and a great Coach. I hope they win the Premier League.”
