EA sports have announced the end of their exclusive partnership with Milan.

The Rossoneri signed a two-year deal with EA Sports in August 2020, looking to deliver entertainment to their fans around the world with the most popular football video game. The partnership allowed FIFA 21 and 22 to include the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, their kits and the training ground.

As announced on EA Sports’ website, they exclusive partnership with Milan came to an end after almost two years. Fans will still be able to play as the Rossoneri in the game and nothing is set to change on FIFA 22.

Italian clubs are divided regarding football video games, with some choosing to work with FIFA whilst others like Lazio have partnerships with Konami’s eFootball (formerly Pro Evolution Soccer).

Serie A teams are continuing to grow their commercial presence as the league experiences a resurgence, with these lucrative deals allowing more exciting moves in the transfer market, as well as facilitating things like stadium upgrades.
