Roma striker Edin Dzeko explains “I know Serie A better now and it’s easier for me” after 10 goals in 10 games.

The Bosnian was mocked in his first season with the Giallorossi, scoring eight goals in 31 games and even being dubbed “Edin Cieco”, with “cieco” meaning “blind”.

Now the former Manchester City man is on fire, and he believes he just had to adapt to Italian football.

“It’s amazing, because I always think of the team but I’ve scored 10 goals in 10 games and that’s very important,” Dzeko told Roma TV.

“We’re footballers and sometimes we get criticised, it’s normal. I’m my own biggest critic and last year was difficult.

“Now I know Serie A better and it’s easier for me. I’m just looking forward and the goals give me confidence. I always want to do more and better.”
