Edin Dzeko admits Roma were somewhat distracted by the Champions League quarter-final with Barcelona, but still should’ve beaten Bologna.

Erick Pulgar’s strike was cancelled out by a late Dzeko header after the striker came off the bench at the Stadio Dall’Ara.

“It’s difficult to explain what went wrong. We were too slow in the first half, without movement, despite creating some interesting chances. They had one shot on goal and scored,” Dzeko told Sky Sport Italia after the 1-1 draw.

“Patrik Schick didn’t score today, but it was not easy, he is young and needs to play consistently. In the end we got an important point, even if we think that we ultimately dropped two here today.

“Perhaps there was the wrong attitude, but if we had won, nobody could’ve complained. We are going into a very important match, we all had our thoughts on Barcelona a little bit, but even then we had chances and could’ve scored more.”
