Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini has raised the asking price on Paulo Dybala even further, and calls Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero 'a clown'.

The Rosanero patron had previously declared that the Argentinian starlet was worth €42m, but amidst speculation that Arsenal could pay that hefty price, Zamparini has raised the attacker’s value again.

“No-one has met with me about Paulo Dybala,” Zamparini insisted to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“€42m? Maybe I’ll say no… €42m might not be enough. Let’s see if that moves PSG [Paris Saint-Germain].

“Dybala at the moment is worth too much even for De Laurentiis’ Napoli. His price tag is between €42m and €50m.

“I think he’ll stay one more year with us if he listens to my advice. We’re talking about renewing his contract, he’s a very smart guy.

“When he first came [to Palermo] he was with his agents but he wanted to read every word of the contract.”

The colourful Palermo owner also had some harsh words for Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero, who was pictured with a scarf round his head in last night’s 1-1 draw with Napoli.

“Massimo Ferrero is a clown who I have a lot of sympathy for.

“I’m rooting for him a little bit, even if last night I was cheering for Napoli since I bet that Genoa would finish above Sampdoria in the League.”
