Roma star Paulo Dybala insists he has two years left in his contract at the Stadio Olimpico but ‘there will be time to talk about the future.’

La Joya scored the last goal of the season for the Giallorossi and it was a crucial one given that his last-gasp penalty against Spezia allowed Roma to secure a 2-1 win and qualify for the Europa League.

“It was a difficult game for us, but we knew we wanted a place in Europe,” he told DAZN.

“We left everything on the pitch and we won. Fans are incredible, it’s hard to support the team after losing a Final. They’ve supported us for the entire season and they deserve to celebrate this step.”

Dybala joined Roma as a free agent last summer, signing a three-year contract. He has a double release clause included in his deal at the Stadio Olimpico. One is worth €20m and is valid for Serie A clubs, one’s worth €12m for clubs outside Italy’s top flight.

“Now we must enjoy the moment, there will be time to talk about the future, I have two years left in my contract,” concluded the Argentinean World Cup winner.

Dybala was arguably Roma’s best player this season having scored 18 goals in 38 appearances across all competitions. The Giallorossi have finished sixth in Serie A and will play in Europa League in 2023-24.
