Palermo forward Paulo Dybala believes he’s ‘silenced’ his doubters, and understands the importance of his next move.

The 21-year-old is the subject of interest from both within Serie A and abroad, with Juventus and Inter vying with Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal and others.

“When I started out I never thought that things would happen so quickly,” Dybala reflected in an interview with FIFA.com.

“It was great to come here so young, though settling in was not that easy. There’s a big difference between Laguna Larga [his hometown], where everyone knows each other, and a big city like Palermo.

“There was also a new language to learn and new customs, and Italian football is a huge challenge too.

“When I came here, everyone was wondering if I was really worth 12 million euros. They were saying it was a lot of money and that they’d paid too much for me.

“I’ve managed to silence the doubters, though.

“You learn more from the negative things. I knew it wasn’t going to be easy playing in Serie B, but after overcoming some injury niggles I was able to find my feet and to start learning, a lot.

“We’re having a good season in Serie A, and we’re building the good work we did last year. We’ve held on to 80 percent of the team.

“I’ve got my whole career ahead of me and I have a lot of objectives I want to achieve. If I’m going to fulfil them, I need to make the best possible decision [about my future].”
