Bobby Duncan’s agent claims ‘nobody even comes near in my life of work’ after helping broker the striker’s move to Fiorentina from Liverpool.
Duncan is the cousin of Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard and had been tipped to eventually break into the Reds’ first team after scoring 32 goals for their Under-18 side last season.
However, he completed a transfer to Fiorentina on deadline day, with many Reds fans accusing Saif Rubie of badly advising the 18-year-old.

However, he completed a transfer to Fiorentina on deadline day, with many Reds fans accusing Saif Rubie of badly advising the 18-year-old.
“To be in the top 1 per cent you have to be prepared to do what 99 per cent of the rest won’t do. In my line of work I know nobody even comes near,” Rubie hit back on Instagram.
“Not everything in life is black and white and you have to be able to adapt and roll with the punches.
“Now Bobby Duncan has the opportunity to live and experience something not many young English players have done. That’s what leaders do. We are not followers.
“Thanks to all the people who have supported me in this difficult period means a lot. The joy of getting the job done makes all the struggle and doubt worthwhile. P.S you better look after our little brother.”
