Borussia Dortmund are reportedly pressing to bring Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic back to the Bundesliga.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juve have put Manduzkic up for sale as new boss Maurizio Sarri looks to turn them into more of a passing side.

The Croat is a fans’ favourite and only signed a new contract in April, but Schira claims he is open to the idea of joining Dortmund, who are keen themselves.

He would have also rejected lucrative offers from Dortmund to pursue a move back to Germany, where he scored 68 goals in four seasons with Wolfsburg and Bayern Munich.

Goal.com’s Romeo Agresti is also tipping the 33-year-old to leave Turin this summer with fellow attacker Gonzalo Higuain.
