Marco Fassone says Gianluigi Donnarumma will only leave Milan “if he tells us that he wants to be sold.”

Donnarumma took to Instagram on Thursday to deny reports that he wanted to annul the Milan renewal he signed over the summer, and Fassone made it clear the goalkeeper would never leave San Siro against his will.

“He’s calmer than he was on Wednesday,” the CEO said in a video on the Diavolo’s official website.

“I was pleased that he went to the youth industry party yesterday, as well as with his position on Instagram. I hope things go back to normal.

“We have no intention of selling the player, who is a human, technical and economic asset for this club.

“If he tells us he wants to be sold, we’ll be open to offers, as long as no strange mechanisms are used to get us to sell him at a lower price than his market value.

“We want to protect him all the way. Am I against Mirabelli? It’s not true, Milan are working as one.

“We’re a united group. Whoever bothers one of my collaborators bothers Milan and myself.

“It’s clear that everyone has their own way of talking, but we won’t fall for these little games, which are trying to stir up trouble.”
