It had been feared that Milan would have to raise funds in January, given the uncertain nature of their ownership, exacerbated by UEFA’s decision not to grant them a voluntary agreement, but Fassone promised to keep the current crop intact.

“There’s no change linked to the ups and downs of the last hours,” the CEO explained in a video on the club’s official website.

“I want to clarify something, I also talked about it with the team today at Milanello: this new development is appreciated by the club, David Han Li is here physically.

“For January, I repeat: we’re not going to make signings to remedy any alleged mistakes in the market, the squad is Milan quality and excellent.

“We don’t want to sell anyone because there’s no need to raise any money. In January, we’ll stand at the window and see what the others do.

“There’s no need to sell anyone. We only hope to bring home the results that we wanted at the start of the season.”
