It’s reported Gianluigi Donnarumma wants to leave Milan, which is why they’re signing Napoli’s Pepe Reina.

The Spaniard took a medical with the Rossoneri yesterday, and is almost certain to join on a free transfer when his contract expires on June 30.

Reina isn’t likely to want a backup role, so the move has inevitably raised questions about the future of Donnarumma.

Now Corriere dello Sport is reporting that his relationship with the Diavolo has broken down, and the 19-year-old wants to leave in the summer.

Now Corriere dello Sport is reporting that his relationship with the Diavolo has broken down, and the 19-year-old wants to leave in the summer.

Donnarumma’s agent, Mino Raiola, has a famously fractious relationship with Milan sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli, but the newspaper reports that the goalkeeper’s family have also fallen out with the director, particularly his father.

As a result, the Rossoneri’s relationship with Gianluigi and his brother Antonio’s entourage is essentially non-existent, as previously the family provided a bridge between Raiola and the club.

Now Milan are simply waiting for Raiola to present them with an offer from another club – probably Paris Saint-Germain – though they’ll demand at least €60m for Donnarumma.

Next season, the newspaper reports, Reina will be first choice goalkeeper with Alessandro Plizzari acting as his backup.

The Gazzetta dello Sport also reports tensions between Mirabelli and Donnarumma's father, stating that Alfonso failed to greet the sporting director last time he was at San Siro.
