According to reports in Italy, Arsenal defender Pablo Marì will join Udinese on loan until the end of the season.

The 28-year-old has three appearances with the Gunners in 2021-22 and is set to move to the Dacia Arena on a ‘dry’ temporary deal until the end of the season.

This means Udinese do not have an option or an obligation to make the player’s move permanent at the end of the season.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the deal is virtually close and the player is expected to land in Italy in the coming hours.

Marì joined Arsenal from Flamengo in a €6m deal in July 2020 but has only played 22 games across all competitions with the Gunners.

Udinese sit 14th in the Serie A table, four points above the relegation zone. They have conceded 36 goals in 21 league games this term and sacked their coach Luca Gotti in December, promoting his assistant Gabriele Cioffi.

Udinese lost 2-0 against Juventus on Saturday and will face Lazio in the Coppa Italia Round of 16 tomorrow.
