Roberto Donadoni says the Serie A table is a clear sign that Bologna are improving following a 1-1 draw with Cagliari.

The Rossoblu needed a late Mattia Destro equaliser to salvage a point against the Sardi, but the result keeps the Emilia-Romagna side in the top half.

“It was a shame we conceded the first half to Cagliari, even though they only had that one chance,” Donadoni commented in his post-match interview.

“We did well to claw the game back, in order to make that jump in quality we need the right intensity for the whole match.

“We are getting better, in fact the table shows that clearly. We were never at the mercy of the opposition.

“We were a little too passive in the first half, something that didn’t happen in the second. In fact, it was a completely different match.”
