Bologna boss Roberto Donadoni says forward Mattia Destro needs more intensity if he is to improve and achieve his full potential.

The 26-year-old has scored just five goals so far this season and his Coach believes he could do better with greater determination.

“I have already said it and I repeat – his form is related to his determination in what he does,” Donadoni told a Press conference.

“When he manages to have intensity he is definitely better than the average player in his position.

“Otherwise, he is a player like any other.”

Bologna face Inter tomorrow with both sides suffering from recent negative results.

“We come into it after two negative results.

“We want to replicate the two performances against Napoli and Fiorentina with a very positive performance here.

“We face a team who for one reason or another have their own things to put right. Getting a result against a great team, as well as putting on a good performance, is important from a psychological point of view as well.”

Donadoni confirmed Riccardo Orsolini is in contention to start at the San Siro.

“I see him motivated, determined, but he hasn’t played much recently. He is definitely in contention for a starting place.”
