It is reported that Roberto Donadoni is likely to leave his position as Bologna Coach at the end of the season.

The former Italy boss has been in his post since October 2015, when he replaced the sacked Delio Rossi.

He has presided over 14th and 15th placed finishes in Serie A since then and still has one year remaining on his contract after the end of the current campaign.

However, Corriere di Bologna reports that the Rossoblu hierarchy are looking to freshen things up for the start of the 2018-19 season.

However, Corriere di Bologna reports that the Rossoblu hierarchy are looking to freshen things up for the start of the 2018-19 season.

Bologna presently sit in 13th and look set for another comfortable mid-table finish this year – but they have lost seven of their last nine matches and, according to the local newspaper, there is an air of stagnation at the club.

The idea is said to be to allow Donadoni to see out the season. But even if the team show signs of improvement between now and then, the 54-year-old will leave.

The Emilia-Romagna side reportedly considered sacking Donadoni last year but instead handed him a one-year extension to his contract.
