Roberto Donadoni believes results like the win against Juventus prove Parma haven’t given up, whilst he doesn’t regret turning down offers from other clubs.

Donadoni said after the shock 1-0 win on Saturday that the result was like ‘a fairytale’ and has urged the Parma faithful to continue to show their support until the end of the season.

“The club has collapsed, but not the team,” he told Radio Rai.

“The result against Juventus was incredible and moments like that help us to digest our frustration more easily, but the bitterness of what has happened remains.

“Since I first arrived at Parma, we have often trained alongside our fans and it’s nice to face the public.

“Our supporters haven’t abandoned us as we asked them to give us a hand in the final part of the season. We need to feel the enthusiasm of our public – this is one of the last pleasures that we can have.”

Donadoni has reportedly received several job offers from abroad over the course of the season, but opted to stay with the club amid their financial ruin.

“The offers didn’t interest me and I made the choice to stay at Parma, to go forward as far as possible,” he said.

“Staying was the right thing to do despite the temptation. They are all serious proposals when you’re not receiving a single euro and we will see what happens in the future, but for now it was inappropriate to leave the club.

“All the players want to keep playing and this final part of the season can represent a shop window for them.”
