Bologna Coach Roberto Donadoni admits he is 'in no hurry' to extend his contract at the club.

The former Italy boss has been in charge of the Rossoblu since October 2015 but has only one year left on his deal in Emilia-Romagna.

Following a recent seven-match winless run there were rumours the 53-year-old could be sacked, although two wins on the bounce have now stabilised Bologna's position in the Serie A table.

"This subject has been ongoing in the newspapers for months," Donadoni told Corriere Di Bologna.

"But then in the difficult moments nobody spoke anymore about an extension but about a probable sacking. Now, people are saying different things again.

"I am in no hurry to extend my contract at any cost. The thing I want to understand is the path we can take, the rest is a consequence.

"Of course we always want to do better, but we need a team that can enable that."
