“When you have three defeats in a row there’s clearly a common denominator,” Donadoni fumed in an interview with Sky.
“Today in the first half we were subdued from the point of view of individual determination, which we showed in the second half.
“We knew Verona would come here and play a certain type of game, and we couldn't take hold.
“Even in the second half, where we put in that extra bit of grit and created some chances, we were missing that touch that makes all the difference. But what I regret is that first 45 minutes, where I saw an intimidated team.
“We had opportunities to cause them problems, but we lacked that determination. Over the 90 minutes if we’d had the intensity of the second half there would have been chances and we could have taken advantage.
“When you waste 45 minutes it becomes more difficult.
“We have to get over this period. The path isn’t easy, but just as we started in difficulty and climbed the slope, we have to do that again now.”
