“Canada was a lifestyle choice, I wanted to try myself in a different and certainly interesting League. I wasn’t lacking offers from elsewhere, for example India, but that is a brief season and I wanted to be part of a more long-term project.”
Montreal Impact has a strong Italian community, including Matteo Ferrari, Marco Di Vaio and ex-player Alessandro Nesta.
Donadel has absolutely no regrets about leaving Napoli.
“The first year I was injured, the second I was on loan at Verona and now I rescinded the contract. I basically never had the chance to play for Napoli.”
