Pietro Doca has cast doubt on the takeover of Parma, denying that any deal has been completed for the Ducali.

Parma’s official website yesterday announced that Doca would take over the presidency of the club, with current chief Tommaso Ghirardi having sold up.

However, in an interview with Piacenza24, the would-be President denied that the deal had been completed.

However, in an interview with Piacenza24, the would-be President denied that the deal had been completed.

“Given what has emerged, precisely that to date Parma has not undergone an official notarised sale, it [the club] still belongs to Ghirardi,” Doca revealed.

“The negotiations were in the last stages. The goal was to complete the acquisition of the Emilian club with all the necessary conditions having been met.

“So a final agreement wasn’t reached today.”
