Lucas Digne is “very happy” at Roma but a permanent move is “not down to me”.

The left-back is on loan from French champions Paris Saint-Germain, but it’s not clear if he’ll join the Giallorossi outright in the summer.

The left-back is on loan from French champions Paris Saint-Germain, but it’s not clear if he’ll join the Giallorossi outright in the summer.

“Every so often I exchange texts with [PSG sporting director Olivier] Létang,” Digne explained to Canal Plus.

“For now I’m not asking myself this question. I’m very happy to be here, everything is going great for me. In the summer things are not really down to me, we’ll see what happens.

“In any case, I’m happy here right now.

“Euro 2016? It’s very important for me, that’s why I came here to Roma to play regularly. It’s important to do well and get as far a possible.

“Competition for places? That’s football, in every big club you’ll have competitors.”

The Lupi take on Real Madrid tomorrow, and trail 2-0 after the first leg in Italy, but Digne believes an upset is possible.

“There’s always the chance of being able to do something. We’ll go there with our playing philosophy, with the goal of winning the match and getting the best possible result.

“If we play our game, and we manage to impose ourselves then we can do something up-front.”
