Uruguay boss Oscar Washington Tabarez has claimed that he will look to isolate his squad before the World Cup.

The South American side are in the same group as Italy, England and Costa Rica, and the tactician has revealed that he will take his team away from prying eyes before kick off in June.

“We have to work on environmental issues, because the World Cup attracts a lot of attention,” he is quoted as saying by ANSA.

“People’s expectations are high, and that is completely legitimate. And I am responsible for this team, and want to get it right.

“It’s going to be necessary to think in different ways. I think we’re going to have to limit what the public sees and try to keep the squad a bit away from the fans – otherwise it’s going to be difficult to concentrate.”
