Andre Dias hopes his recent form for Lazio will convince Brazil Coach Mano Menezes to call him up for international duty.

The 31-year-old has emerged as one of Serie A's top defenders since his arrival in Rome from Sao Paulo in the January transfer window.

Dunga included Dias in one of his squads last year, but he didn't get the chance to wear the green and gold.

"If I keep doing well with Lazio, I too will have a chance," he said.

"The best players in my position are Lucio, Juan and Thiago Silva. It would be great to get to their level."

Dias has been instrumental in Lazio's success this season, forming a strong partnership with Giuseppe Biava.

Lazio currently lie second in Serie A, just one point behind League leaders Milan.
