Alessandro Diamanti has reportedly told teammates and Davide Ballardini of his impending exit from Bologna, but he could still play three more games.

The playmaker was listed on Tuesday by President Albano Guaraldi as the subject of continued transfer talks with Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande.

Whilst Marcello Lippi’s outfit were believed to have missed out on the Italy international during January, Bologna’s signing of Ibson last month has apparently seen the door left open and the overall price for Diamanti drop.

Where talks were initially on a €9.3m total sale over two instalments, the Felsinei are generally seen to be finalising details with Guangzhou over a single €8m payment for Diamanti.

The playmaker, meanwhile, is reported to have informed Coach Ballardini and his Bologna teammates of his impending exit.

However, with the Chinese transfer window closing on February 28, it is possible that Diamanti could still appear in three more games for Bologna before leaving.
