Marco Di Vaio feels Bologna “are on the right track” for safety, but concedes the referee got it wrong on both sides.

The striker opened the scoring in today’s enthralling 2-2 draw with Milan at the Stadio Dall’Ara.

“We are on the right track to go forward and secure our Serie A status. The defeat to Cesena was crucial in putting us on this path,” explained Di Vaio.

“It was a performance of great character against the reigning champions of Italy, putting all our quality and grit on to the field. Those are our defining characteristics.”

However, both clubs complained of refereeing errors and were denied penalties.

“There was both a penalty for us and Milan, as Clarence Seedorf and Archimede Morleo handled.”
