Antonio Di Natale hailed “a great victory against a great team” as Udinese beat Milan 1-0.

His goal decided the Serie A fixture at the Stadio Friuli, taking his career top flight tally to 185.

“It was a great victory against a great team,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“We did well to defend with 11 men behind the ball and hit them with rapid counter-attacks. It was an important victory for everyone around the club.”

The Friulani also beat Milan in January to knock them out of the Coppa Italia.

There was some tension this week when patron Giampaolo Pozzo ordered the team into a pre-match training camp.

“The President wanted to shake us up and he did well, though of course it’s always preferable not to go into a camp!”

Di Natale has still not decided whether he’ll go through with his threat to retire at the end of the season.

“I am very happy here and so is my family. I’ve been here for 10 years and everything I do is for this city. There’s only Udinese for me.

“I have to try to help Udinese get as many points as possible to secure safety, then we’ll see…”
