Demetrio Albertini claims Sassuolo Coach Eusebio Di Francesco is “too inexperienced” to become Italy manager.

The Nazionale needs a new boss after Euro 2016, as Antonio Conte has already announced he’ll be taking over at Chelsea.

Among the candidates for the role is current Sassuolo tactician Di Francesco.

“In my view he’s not suited to the Nazionale, as he’s too inexperienced and that is an important element at this level,” Albertini told Radio Rai.

“He is talented, young and I like him a lot, but in the Nazionale there are other things a Coach needs to do.

“I see the ideal candidate as Fabio Capello, but he ruled himself out of the running already.”

There are rumours Claudio Ranieri could be approached following his Premier League success at Leicester City.

“I don’t think Leicester will want to let him go after this season.”
