After achieving Sassuolo’s Serie A status for next year, Coach Eusebio Di Francesco looks set to be handed a new contract.

The 44-year-old successfully guided the Neroverdi to safety in their debut Serie A campaign last term, despite being absent for five weeks when temporarily replaced by Alberto Malesani.

The Gazzetta dello Sport report that the Reggio Emilia outfit are not only happy to continue with Di Francesco at the helm for next season, but are preparing a new contract for him.

It is understood that a one-year extension to commit further to the former midfielder until June 2016 has been drawn up and may be signed at a meeting with Milan-based owner Giorgio Squinzi on Tuesday.
