“Berlusconi’s statements? I’ll only speak about Sassuolo. Full-stop.” Di Francesco said in his Press conference ahead of the Carpi game.
“The rumours are nothing, my profile is Sassuolo. Eusebio tries to go where there’s no confusion, and I think Sassuolo are one of the best in Italy from that point of view.
“So that’s my answer.”
With the Neroverdi having already secured their Serie A safety, is there a danger they could relax in the run-in, especially as Carpi are fighting for their lives?
“I have a big hunger at this time, and so do my lads. I don’t understand why only those fighting relegation should be hungry.
“We’re playing in Serie A, and you have to prove your worth in every game. I have to do that as a Coach, and my players have to do it too. We’re hungry, I assure you.
“This game has a double value, for them as they’re trying to reach safety and for us as we have to try and catch Milan, which isn’t easy, but we have to try.”
