The Flying Donkeys continued their impressive run of positive results, even if they are still without a victory yet this season.

The fans will therefore hope to see the team reinforced over the winter break, but the Coach is not in a hurry.

“Before we start thinking about transfers, we have to play three crucial matches, two of which will be at home," said Di Carlo after the game. "These matches will determine our approach to the mercato.

"Today I saw players who took their opportunity even though they hadn't been given many minutes in the past, and others who still need to find their best form.

"I need to take a good look at my players. We found the in-game spirit that we had lost. We need to do some work on decisive passes and on converting our chances, but we'll get there.

"All it takes is a victory, and everything will fall into place. That's what we're aiming for, without looking at the standings. We must get down in the pitch and put up a fight against everyone, and sooner or later we'll find our victory."

It may be a tough job for Chievo to attain that objective in their next game, as they are due to host Inter on Week 17.

"[Coach Luciano] Spalletti knows me perfectly well. They'll do their thing, we'll try and do ours. We'll look to trouble them and play to win the game."
