Luigi Di Biagio insists his Italy Under-21s “deserved more” against Germany, but assures “it’ll be a whole different story” come June.

Italy is hosting next summer’s European Championships, but the Azzurrini have lost both friendlies over this international break, to England and Die Mannschaft.

“We aren’t killing off games where we deserved more,” Di Biagio told Rai Sport after tonight’s match.

“We aren’t killing off games where we deserved more,” Di Biagio told Rai Sport after tonight’s match.

“We were good for the first half hour, and we deserved to double our lead, we didn’t need to suffer in the second half.

“We’ve been facing the strongest teams, but from here to June it’ll be a whole different story.

“The group will be decided in June, on the same the call-ups are announced.”
