Siena striker Mattia Destro says it would be an honour for him to partner Miroslav Klose at Lazio next season.

The Italian Under-21 international, co-owned with Genoa, is wanted by a host of clubs after his fine Serie A campaign.

“I want to end this season in the best possible manner,” he told La Lazio Siamo Noi. “After that I’ll think about everything else.

“Once the campaign has come to an end then I will evaluate what options are available to be.”

Destro’s latest effort, his 11th in 28 League games, came in the 1-1 draw with Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico last night.

“It’s true that I was close to Lazio in the past, but then nothing came of it,” added the 21-year-old. “Me and Klose in attack? He’s a great champion and it would be an honour to play alongside him.”

The striker is also of interest to Juventus” data-scaytid=”26″>Juventus, Roma and Inter.
