Mattia Destro will reportedly be playing for his Milan future over the last 10 games of the Serie A season.

The striker joined the Rossoneri on loan in the January transfer window, and the club have the option to make the move permanent for €16m in the summer.

However, the Italian international has scored just twice in seven appearances since moving to San Siro and Tuttosport reports that the Diavolo hierarchy are unsure about shelling out such a high fee.

However, the Italian international has scored just twice in seven appearances since moving to San Siro and Tuttosport reports that the Diavolo hierarchy are unsure about shelling out such a high fee.

The newspaper reports that Destro is struggling to fit into Filippo Inzaghi’s style of play, with an average of just 15 touches per game.

The forward has 10 games of the season left to prove his worth, according to the sports daily, although much will depend who is on the Milan bench next season.

Inzaghi is widely expected to be replaced at the end of the season, with potential replacements including Maurizio Sarri, Sinisa Mihajlovic and Giampiero Ventura.
