Galatasaray Coach Mustafa Denizli insists he’d “never” approach the Lazio game to play for penalties.

The first leg of the Europa League Last 32 tie ended in a 1-1 draw, meaning extra time and penalties is a possibility for tomorrow’s game in Rome.

“Throughout my career I’ve never coached players to think about ending a game with penalties,” Denizli told reporters in his pre-match Press conference.

“We have to score a goal, that’s what we’ve prepared for. I’ve said to my players that it’ll take a lot of collaboration, we’ll have to take risks.

“We know the first leg result, we know the game we’ll have to play to get through to the next round. We’ve prepared very well for tomorrow, we have to play with all our strength for 90 minutes.

“We’ll see the result after the game tomorrow.”
