Fiorentina President Andrea Della Valle says he’s ‘optimistic’ Mohamed Salah will choose to stay with the club.

The Viola have activated their option to take the Egyptian international on loan for another season, but despite an ‘insane offer’, the player has the power to veto the move.

“We’re trying to keep him, this is the decisive day,” Della Valle told reporters in Milan.

“Personally, I’m optimistic about the negotiations succeeding. We’ll understand everything this evening.”

The former Basel winger has previously said he is ’80 per cent’ likely to stay in Florence, but Inter and Juventus are also believed to be interested.
