Alessandro Del Piero is confident “Juventus can get back into the Scudetto race” and is impressed by Antonio Conte’s Italy.
The Bianconeri legend spoke to La Domenica Sportiva about the Turin giants, who are currently seventh in Serie A.

The Bianconeri legend spoke to La Domenica Sportiva about the Turin giants, who are currently seventh in Serie A.
“This up and down rollercoaster of emotions all depends on the results. It’s true for Maurizio Sarri at Napoli, Max Allegri at Juventus and many other Coaches.
“Juve remain a very strong side, as proved by the fact they are doing decidedly well in the Champions League. They’re less effective this season in Serie A and people act as if it’s a tragic situation.
“They have the potential to get back into the Scudetto race with three or four consecutive victories. Allegri proved last season he is an excellent Coach, but players and tacticians can’t necessarily be at their peak at every moment of the campaign.”
Del Piero won the Scudetto with Conte at Juventus and now the tactician is in charge of Italy going into Euro 2016.
“I see Conte doing very well. He created a group that has grown, qualified comfortably and they have the chance to do well in the Euros, even with a side that is young and in a transitional period.
“Conte knows full well where he is and personally I hope he’ll stay with the Nazionale for as long as possible.
“Would I like to be Italy Coach? I like very much what I’m doing right now. I had never even thought about being a Coach until a few years ago. Now I’ve realised it is a very interesting, intriguing and difficult profession.
“I have not yet taken any steps towards becoming a Coach, so it remains just an idea. Never say never, mind you.”
