Gigi Del Neri wants Juventus to “end the year on a winning note,” is quite glad to be out of Europe and has more injury concerns against Chievo.

“Chievo are a team with a thousand reasons to do well and they always manage to find the right motivation,” said the former Flying Donkeys Coach.

“You don't stay in Serie A for long if you don't have certain qualities. It will take the best Juventus to bring home the three points.

“It will be wonderful to return to Verona. The faith that the President and directors showed in me at the time was crucial.

“We sort of grew up together, then we each took our own path. It was a happy time for both of us and both friendship and respect have remained intact.”

The Bianconeri midfield could be reshuffled on Sunday, as Claudio Marchisio and Alberto Aquilani are struggling with injuries, while Felipe Melo is suspended.

“It's unlikely Marchisio will be there. If Alberto doesn't make it either, then Giandonato is ready,” explained Del Neri.

“A third consecutive Serie A victory and ending 2010 on a winning note would be a great boost. If we face Chievo with the right humility, then we can do well, but we must always play to win.”

This form was not replicated in the Europa League, where Juve crashed out after six draws out of six.

“I don't know if it will be an advantage to be out of Europe while the other title contenders still have those commitments.

“We can certainly get the chance to work better and above all focus on the details.”
