Gigi Del Neri has reportedly rejected an offer to come back to Atalanta and could take a year off after his Juventus sacking.

The Coach was given the boot when the Bianconeri failed to qualify for Europe and is likely to be replaced by Antonio Conte on Monday.

Despite taking them to promotion, Atalanta were prepared to shelve tactician Stefano Colantuono for a more prestigious option.

However, the Gazzetta dello Sport suggests that Del Neri turned down the opportunity to come back to Bergamo, having already led the club from 2007 to 2009.
