Sassuolo striker Gregoire Defrel thanked fans after surgery to stabilise a fractured nose.
The forward had his nose broken by Andrea Ranocchia’s boot during Sunday’s 0-0 draw with Sampdoria, an incident that saw Ranocchia sent off.
“The operation went well!!!” wrote Defrel on Facebook.
“I will be coming out tomorrow, if all goes well. Thank you for all your messages.
“I’m more handsome like this, aren’t I?”
