“I am happy to recover some players that I have never had so far. We are a good team and tomorrow we will do everything to win.

"I want to see the blood in the players’ eyes because otherwise we won’t win this game,” he added.

Verona have been doing very well for a year and a half. They have a strong identity. It’s always difficult to face them, last year’s games were tough. They play total football, every episode can be decisive.”

Sassuolo sit second in the Serie A table, two points off league leaders Milan.

"We have to think one game at a time. The attention cannot be shifted beyond Verona. We must not make plans or draw up tables. We must prepare ourselves with seriousness and with the desire to make a result. I know that all the compliments can be critical.

“The more compliments you have, the harsher criticisms you’ll get if you don’t have continuity of results.”
