De Zerbi is one of the leading candidates to take charge of Roma next season, and the former Napoli midfielder was again tight-lipped on questions about his future.

“There’s little to nothing right now,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“If a concrete offer arrives, I’ll talk about it with the club because I’m very grateful to them.

“I’m fine at Sassuolo. When I leave, I’ll go somewhere I can play my own football, bringing my ideas.

“I want to have fun, the players at Sassuolo make me happy and the club are behind me.”

So have the Giallorossi reached out to him?

“I’m keeping that to myself. What I’ve read has gone beyond the truth. I don’t know what will happen tomorrow, it’s the way it is today.

“I’m still happy to coach Sassuolo, I’m not looking for anything. I’m focused on Sassuolo, that’s been the situation until now.”
