Inter defender Stefan de Vrij will miss the first match of 2020-21, as the Disciplinary Commission announced the verdict after Serie A Week 38.

The Dutch defender was books on the last day of the championship, when Inter won 2-0 against Atalanta on Saturday.

The Orobici will be without Berat Djimsiti and Fiorentina-bound Sofyan Amrabat has also been given a one-match ban after his red card in GenoaVerona, along with a fine of €5,000.

The same amount was given to Genoa’s Francesco Cassata, who was sent off in the same incident and will miss out on the first match together with Cristian Romero and Andrea Masiello.

Gary Medel (Bologna), Jasmin Kurtic (Parma), Kristoffer Askildsen (Sampdoria) and Federico Peluso (Sassuolo) complete the list of players, with Hellas Verona coach Ivan Juric also given a one-match ban.
