Napoli will target Milan’s Mattia De Sciglio if a deal for Sime Vrsaljko cannot be struck, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The newspaper claims that while Napoli have agreed a €12m fee plus Duvan Zapata for Vrsajlko, furthered by Sassuolo recently denying contact with Atletico Madrid, the Partenopei remain wary of losing the Croatian to the Champions League runners-up.

Consequently, De Sciglio has been mentioned as a fall-back for Napoli, who have “requested information” on the player’s availability and are intrigued by his “increasingly-high profile”.

The 23-year-old, who is currently preparing for Euro 2016 with the Italy squad, has made over 100 appearances for Milan since his debut in September 2011.
