Napoli goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis has revealed that he wants to end his career with the Partenopei.

The 35-year-old will see his contract at Stadio San Paolo end in the summer, but the veteran shot-stopper has insisted that he wants to renew the deal and end his days with the Azzurri.

“I'd be happy to end my career here,” he told Radio Marte. “I get a great feeling from being with this club.”

The Italy international also commented on the club's recent dip in form, as well as their match with Chievo this Sunday.

“I would say that we've been getting positive results recently, but we've just been missing those three points.

“We've just slowed down a bit. It was a misstep against Juventus – but we have to remember that they are in a period of great form.

“Now we have to go to Verona with the aim of bringing home three points. We know that it is a tough place to go, but if we want to reach our goals, then we have to win.

“We understand that the next five games will define our season.”
