However, no renewal has yet been signed, and as of today De Sanctis is out of contract, and won’t wait forever for the Lupi.
“From today I’m officially a free-agent,” De Sanctis explained to Sky.

“I’ve never had this feeling after being freed by Roma. There are a lot of discussions in play, but there’s always the opportunity to stay at Roma.
“For now the situation is on stand-by, but I always thought I’d end my career in Giallorosso. All I can do is be patient and make the right choice.
“My priority is Roma, but I can’t wait forever. Pre-season training camps start soon, and I’d like the opportunity to be with my teammates.
“It’d be a big regret to not be a part of the final year of [Francesco] Totti’s career.”
