Atalanta seem to be back in shape as they trashed La Liga side Betis 3-0 in a friendly encounter yesterday. De Roon got his name on the scoresheet, but the 31-year-old still has plenty of regrets about his national team’s elimination from the World Cup quarter-finals at the hands of Argentina.
De Roon took to social media after the match against Betis, saying he hoped he’d score against the South Americans and Atalanta replied with a funny meme.
